Reminders for Agents Working Remotely with Clients

During this time of uncertainty, while working remotely, we want to be sure to remain compliant when interacting with the consumer.

You will definitely want to keep in touch with all your clients, even just checking on their well-being. If they are needing assistance, do what you can all while keeping a safe distance and preferably over the phone if at all possible.

Keep in mind what is and isn’t allowed by carriers, and CMS. Permission to contact remains as always.

You will also need to remain compliant with data security. Transmitting documents via secure email or fax is preferred, and never leave any customer PII or PHI in the open for anyone to see.

We all must do our part and pay attention at all times to what the government is telling us. Our clientele, which is also the heart of our business, are in a high risk category. It is up to all of us to keep them safe as well as help when needed.
