It may be common to use the term “Summary of Benefits”, when describing material used for sales presentations. However, there is a difference between the Summary of Benefits and the Plan Overview.

Summary of Benefits

Is included in the shrink wrapped pre-enrollment kit.

Plan Overview

The CMS-approved Freedom Health or Optimum HealthCare presentation is the required document that must be used during your sales presentation. The Plan Overview provides a comprehensive explanation of benefits and use of services.

Please include the Plan Overview with your sales presentation and remember that you must leave the pre-enrollment kit with the new member.
